Eurovisionsports in Hafjell 2004

Dear sporting collegues!

As of March the 21. through March the 28. 2004, we invite all employees within the European Broadcasting Union to the Eurovisiongames at Hafjell near Lillehammer.

Hafjell and Lillehammer will be known by most of you from the Olympic Games in 1994, and you will experience alpine skiing in some of the best slopes Norway can offer. In addition, there is direct access to the best cross-country terrain in Northern Europe – with 350 km of prepared tracks.

This week will include great athletic challenges, as well as numerous social events. All alpine disciplines will take place in the slopes that were used during the Olympic Games. So will the cross-country competitions, which will be located at the Birkebeiner Skistadion in Lillehammer.

On Saturday March 20. the Birkebeiner skirace will take place. This is one of the biggest and best known skiing-competitions in the world. The race is 54 kilometers, in classic style and the slope crosses through the most spectacular scenery imaginable. We would therefore strongly ask everyone with an interest in cross-country skiing to enter the race. Please contact Mr. Helge Jøssing for further details concerning participation.

We will do our utmost to make a week full of skiing-fun and lots of social activities. We therefore hope to see as many as possible of you here in Norway!
